Insulating studs and bolts from glass-textolite, EPGC, and Durostone
We manufacture insulating fasteners to customer drawings: studs, bolts, nuts, and screws from glass-textolite, EPGC, and Durostone.
For discussion: this page overlaps with the «Threaded studs and nuts» section. For the site it is better either to merge the pages or split them: keep this one as a general section on insulating fasteners, and use the studs page for a specific product type.

When insulating fasteners are needed
Insulating fasteners are used in nodes where a metal part is not acceptable due to electrical conductivity, magnetic properties, corrosion, or insulation-gap requirements.
The fastener material is chosen by voltage, mechanical load, temperature, humidity, and flame-retardance requirements. Load-bearing joints require verification of design load and material limits.
Technical parameters

Where they are used
- high-voltage zones of transformers and reactors;
- switchgear 6–35 kV and higher;
- marine electrical equipment;
- instrumentation and electronics;
- nodes where metal fasteners require additional insulation.
What to attach to the request
- 01drawing of the fastener or assembly;
- 02thread diameter, pitch, and tolerance class;
- 03material or operating conditions;
- 04mechanical load, if the fastener operates under force;
- 05quantity and documentation requirements.
